about me
![]()
My name is Simon and this is my site. Thanks for passing through. I write about food, interaction design and other stuff.
I’m a User Experience Designer specialising in e-commerce, social software design, rapid prototyping and product strategy. I’m also a dab hand at fixing botched IA and updating legacy interfaces. I get a massive kick out of producing solid creative alongside great people.
I live by Victoria Park in East London with a content strategist and two cats.
I’m an agency-side Experience Architect at The Team, a friendly design and communications agency near London Bridge. I create specifications and wireframes for large grown-up clients of the government agency and blue-chip variety.
In the past I conceptualised, prototyped and tested clean and friendly e-commerce interfaces, social media apps and did other bits and pieces for a fairly well known dotcom. And sold things to people before that.
I like prototyping, Twitter, all things food, and playing golf about three times a year. I also play bass in a very loud band which tends to surprise people.
I’m not seeking work at the moment, but I’m always up for hearing about interesting new projects I can lend my expertise to. Especially the open source variety. So don’t be shy and send me an email to:
simondoggett {at} me {dot} com
or give me a ring on 07766 403213.
I’m most active on Twitter and Tumblr.
Otherwise, feel free to:
- have a look through my photos on Flickr. I love old manual lenses.
- disapprove of my taste in music over at last.fm. You get a point for each band you’ve heard of.
- follow me on Twitter. I follow back on the first date.
- reblog my design inspirations on Tumblr. It’s pretty.
- subscribe to my Friendfeed. It does things all on its own.
- add me as your new BFF on Facebook. Even though I rarely log in these days.
- see what my colleagues have said about me on LinkedIn. I’ve worked with some brilliant people.
- read reviews of places I’ve visited on Qype. I’m still searching for London’s best brunch.
Take care,
Simon
